After applying moisturizer wait 2 minutes for it to permeate into the skin. Using a non-latex sponge begin applying the foundation using a padding motion, which makeup artists call stippling. This is how you get the most coverage out of the foundation. To avoid streaking, work the foundation in one small section at a time. It is also necessary to apply foundation over your entire eyelid. This will help even out any discoloration, and keep your eyeshadow on longer.

After applying foundation, dip the concealer brush into the concealer. Work the brush back and forth on the back of your hand until the concealer is smooth. (Fig. 1) Brush concealer over the dark circles under the eyes, not under the entire eye. (Fig. 2) Concealer can also be applied over any blemishes and in the creases around the nose. (Fig. 3) After brushing the concealer over the dark areas, use the sponge that has the foundation from the previous step, and blend in the concealer using the stippling motion. (Fig. 4) The foundation that is already on the sponge will blend in with the concealer for a more subtle look.
Setting foundation and concealer with loose powder is very important. On mature skin foundation and concealer can settle into lines if not set properly.
1.) After applying foundation and concealer use your sponge to smooth out the under eye
area. To prevent the concealer and foundation from settling into lines.
2.) After blending, apply loose powder under the eyes sweeping the brush back and forth. (Fig. 1)
Apply a generous amount of powder to the eyelid, this will help your eyeshadow blend well. (Fig. 2)
